Sometimes life isn’t all rainbows and sunshine.
Wouldn’t it be nice if life was just smooth sailing all the time? No cares, no struggles, no trauma, no stress. A dream life, yes? Unfortunately, it doesn’t really go down like that.
Being able to get through hard times can often be a challenge. Really crappy things happen that send us flying backwards. Most of the time, things happen we simply don’t know how to handle or deal with. And we break hard. But there is a saying “Hard times never lasts”
Hard times never last: Motivational Short Stories
Throughout every person’s life, there will be hard times where it’s forecasted to be dark and gloomy, with seemingly constant showers. And when it rains, it pours.
Whenever you make a mistake, you immediately get angry with yourself, and that anger lingers for a while. You also get easily disappointed, sometimes deeply disappointed—even if it’s just your to-do list going unchecked.
It is important to use these difficult times as life lessons, growing and shaping you to blossom into a stronger and wiser person every day!
Every day may not be good, but there is some good in every day. You don’t remember the last time you were actually proud of yourself?
That is, you might consider: How am I feeling today? Why am I tired? Why am I so upset about this situation? Why am I angry that I made that mistake? Do I feel any tension in my body? What thoughts are running through my mind right now? What am I yearning for?
And then you can practice acting on your answers.
If you’re feeling upset, you might call a friend to talk. If you’re feeling the tension in your body, you might practice a stretching sequence you found online. If you’re yearning to try something new, you might take up writing or a dance class.
If you’re having a hard time falling asleep because of worries that pop up right before bed, you might keep a notebook on your bedside table to jot down your concerns, listen to a 10-minute guided meditation, and make your bedroom into a sanctuary.
I think the most important thing to remember is that, yes, you will get through it but also, you will learn a lot about not only yourself but the people around you.
I think it’s important to take each of life’s tragedies, struggles, issues, etc and learn and grow from them. There is a lesson in everything we go through and a reason why everything happens to us.
If you stay the victim, life will be hard for you. If you heal and grow you will see how going through hard times makes you stronger and perhaps an inspiration or role model for someone who is going through the same thing you did, and needs help.
Does that make sense?
I admire those people who can get through hard times like a champ. You have to remember that in the end, everything will always work out. Your handling of any situation will either make you or break you.
And trust me, I’ve been broken quite a few times but I can look back now on some of the times that just about killed every ounce of my spirit and realize there was a powerful lesson in it.
Also, I realized that some things I went through were meant to save me from something worse. Remember that!
I am happy to say that I know this is something I have to deal with and therefore I can do everything in my power to conquer depression head-on. This can be through a mindful self-care routine, living in the present or giving myself permission to say no.
Until you’re broken you don’t know what you’re made of. It gives you the ability to build yourself all over again, but stronger than ever.
Be strong. Be you. Be happy!
