The results of the Common Admission Test (CAT) are expected to be declared on January 10 according to IIM Bangalore officials. The exam was conducted on December 4 for in various management programmes and over 2 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam.
The exam was conducted in two separate sessions. This year, IIM Bangalore was the convener of CAT 2016. The exam was conducted in 138 cities across the country and the duration of the exam was of three hours. All the candidates who successfully clear the selection process will get admitted in 20 different IIM institutes.

Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management

Post Graduate Programme in Management

Post-Graduate Programme in Food and Agribusiness Management

Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management

Post Graduate Programme in Securities Markets

The candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interviews (PI) round. Also, the admission policy for PGP-PGDM (2017-19) batch was announced. Indian Institute of Management- Calcutta has set the minimum cut off 90 per cent for the admission to the courses.

As per reports, this year the number of applicants rose to 2, 32,434 compared to last year’s 2,18,664, as per the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

All the selected candidates will get admitted in 20 different IIM institutes.
